The sci-fi action film Terminator 2: Judgment Day is the sequel to the 1984 cult classic Terminator. In Terminator, an unstoppable cyborg assassin is sent back from the year 2029 by a collective of computer-controlled machines bent on the extermination of the human race. The Terminator’s mission is to kill Sarah Connor whose future son, John Connor, leads a resistance against the machines. In T2, the cyborg who once tried to kill Sarah is reprogrammed and must protect her now teenaged son from an even more powerful and advanced cyborg, T-1000, and attempt to prevent Judgment Day, a future event in which machines will begin to exterminate humanity.

Directed, produced and co-written by James Cameron, T2 stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, and Robert Patrick. An international blockbuster and critical success, T2 appears on many Top 100 lists and includes breakthroughs in computer-generated effects. In 2009, Lionsgate released the Terminator 2 Skynet Edition on Blu-ray and the Limited Edition T2 Complete Collector’s Set.
